Advanced Brazilian Course 5 Star's Advanced Brazilian Course allows children ages 8-13 to experience an intensive 3 day's where they can learn different techniques which may not be taught on our other courses. Our 'Brazilian Experience' is for dedicated players who would like to progress further in the game. We aim to give players the freedom to improvise when under pressure, or in front of goal and give them the freedom to express themselves when learning. Coaches will coach players technical tactical and functional parts of the game allowing players again to express themselves throughout the three day course. The Brazilian course is not for everyone child. Your son must be dedicated to learn over the three days and diaries will be carried out so we can make sure players know exactly why they are carrying out a skill, pass, shot etc. Click to see our Brazilian videos here Brazilian Programme Ball Mastery is very important in football. Each day we start off with quick feet movements allowing players to feel confident using both feet. This is very important in the learning curve for all players who attend our three day course. Players will then learn tactical parts of the game and functional aspects. Questions such as What is the difference between a square pass and a diagonal pass? . When might we use a diagonal pass? Which is more effective? Our Brazilian courses also focus on 2 v 2 and 4 v 4 games. This allows players more touches of the ball and more space for players to express themselves on the ball. FOOTBALL RESULTS << Back Development Centre v 18.11.2008 After beating Halifax Town under 11’s 3-1in 2007 5 Star Sports Academy Development Centre travelled to play a strong Leeds United u 11’s in a game that would not only test the boys but see how far they had come over the last two years. After a nervous start Leeds United went ahead after only 5 minutes after a great through ball was slotted away in the corner by Leeds United’s number 10. After the kick off, 5 Star Sports Academy players settled down and started to play some entertaining football. After 10 minutes some fantastic work by Brandon Baldwin, found Sam Mcevoy down the right who whipped an inch perfect ball into the feet of Martin Donnelly who calmly struck the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1. Shortly afterwards great individual work from Tom Stewart found space on the edge of the area and slotted home the second. With 5 Star Sports Academy Development Centre growing every year with more talented players joining, we had to make 7 changes in the second quarter so that the rest of the squad could show the talent that they have. Leeds United Development Centre Straight away from the kick off 5 Star Development Centre player Joseph Crampton was running the Leeds players ragged down the right wing and the front two of Ben Baldwin and Ryan Goldsborough holding the ball up well it was not long until 5 Star scored another goal through Brett Parker who pounced to secure the third. Again 7 changes were made, it was not long before Ryan Chadband made an impact and created a goal from nothing. With some strong defending by Zach Thorpe, Connor Bailey, Georgie Rutherford, and Felix Eastwood Leeds never really threatened 5 Stars goal. 5 Star looked comfortable now, playing out from the back, switching play and keeping possession it was only a matter of time before Joseph Crampton got on the score sheet. Within another 10 minutes Danny Wilson was pulling the strings in attack and the boys pushed for more goals. Some great build up play from the back and a defence splitting pass by Ben Baldwin found Joseph Crampton who took his second goal well . Joseph then completed his hatrick with a cool finish. Before the final whistle Joseph again got on the score sheet with his forth, with some great build up play from Ryan Goldsborough, Ben Baldwin, Brett Parker and Brandon Baldwin. Final Score: Five star 8 v Leeds United 1 Coach Karl Parkin: Comment I am proud of all the boys; not because they won 8-1 but they played the game how football should be played. Too many times I see junior teams just wanting to win there game‘s without developing every individual player. Myself and Ian Greenwood coach these boys to improve their technical ability but mainly to improve there tactical awareness of positions they play. They have done exactly what we have been teaching them and every player will have a future in the game at some level, I am sure of that. I would also like to thank the parents who have supported myself over the last few years and have always believed in the programme we have set up for the boys. FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE << Back Player Profiles Match Reports Football Development Centre 5 Star's Development Centre is designed to elevate players football to the next level. All of our coaches are experienced coaches and accomplished players with coaching badges, ranging from English FA, UEFA, NSCAA and trained in Brazilian and Dutch teaching methods. West Leeds Development Centre's Our Development Centre's are based in Pudsey, West Leeds. Both centre's are open to all boys from the West Yorkshire Area. Girls can attend our Saturday morning centre though, while we are waiting to open a girls only centre. Groups are split into ability so all children can be coached at the level they are at. Professional Club Link's 5 Star Sports have links to professional clubs, with some of our centre players earning trials with professional teams. Regular scout's visit our centre's to see any potential players of te future. These parts of the sessions include: transition, speed of play, combination play, changing the point of attack, principles of attack and defence, attack and defending set pieces. The Dutch 4 v 4 concept is also included within our tactical training sessions curriculum. Functional Training Focuses on how to perform different skills relative to your position and role within a team. Highlight position specific purpose, individually and collectively. . Physical Training Focuses on speed, strength, stamina and sharpness. Prizes and awards are given out every 10th week for children who impress and work hard. Regular tournaments are also introduced so players get used to competition. Trophy Winners Kids that win awards at our recreational and holiday courses get entered into the winners gallery. They have their names entered in the 5 star "Hall of Fame" which they can visit to see the list of deserved winners. Petite Coaching - Lowtown Primary School Every Saturday 9.30 - 10.30 am Fun introduction for 3 to 5 year olds to begin to learn football using a "Games Based" approach. THE COACHING << Back 5 Star Coaching in Schools Sessions will naturally be age appropriate and will follow a programme of development starting with individual technique and skill work and gradually progressing to teamwork and tactical understanding. As a company we do not believe in lines of children waiting for their turn so provide one ball each whenever we can to encourage maximal participation which speeds up the learning process and makes lesson time more enjoyable. An hour long curriculum session is structured to maximise learning Sports Session Structure in Schools Introduction A brief talk on what the session is setting out to achieve and why the topic is relevant to football and other sports. Warm Up 10 minutes of movement games including dynamic stretching with or without a ball, which will prepare pupils for the rest of the session and will help them understand how the body works and the importance of being prepared for physical activity. Skills and Technical Session 15 minutes of structured coaching where the pupils learn the correct ways in which to execute different skills in a variety of sports. Game-Based Activities 20 minutes of games and exercises with a ball which will improve individual ability and confidence and teach players about the importance of concentration, communication, good practice and teamwork in order to achieve personal and team success. Debrief A quick question and answer summary of what was taught in the session to make sure the pupils have the understanding of the session.

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES << Back Spring/Summer Fetes We provide a coach for the duration of the event who will bring along a goal, the speed gun and target net and will provide three different activities throughout the day. The popular 'Beat the Goalie', 'Speed Shot' and 'Free Kick Challenge' are always a hit with kids and adults alike, especially with the great prizes for top scorers provided by us. We charge a small fee for each activity and any money that is made on the day is split 70/30 in favor of the school. Fundraising Opportunities As well as our structured coaching programmes, we also provide schools with the opportunity to raise money throughout the year, whether it is for the school or for other good causes. Sponsored Activities In the current climate of charity events and raising money for good causes, schools are always looking for new ways to inspire children to actively raise money through sponsored events. We can provide complete management of the event from devising the activities to providing coaches and equipment on the day. Events can include 'penalty shoot outs', 'keepy up challenges', 'distance dribbling', 'marathon passing' amongst many others.

HALF TERM AT FARSLEY CELTIC 5 Star Sports At Farsley Celtic Autumn Half Term 2008 During the Autumn half term holidays 5 star ran a football skills school at Farsley Celtics Throstle Nest complex. The school catered for kids of varying skill from 6 years old up to 12 years of age. Gallery Trophy Winners << Back The course ran for five days and included teaching close ball skills, passing, turning, tackling and shooting. Emphasis was on building a strong sense of teamwork and of course having fun! Outside we had use of 2 mini soccer pitches and a full size pitch for the older kids. When the weather turned cold, we were able to use Farsley Celtics indoor facilities.

We are aware that although many year 5 and 6 pupils have the opportunity to play football at school, other year groups have to wait for these opportunities. We therefore specialise in provision for years 1 - 4 and take full responsibility of sessions from supervision of children changing through to dismissal back to teachers or parents. Although we are primarily football specialists we also provide coaching in other sports such as basketball, rugby, cricket, hockey and athletics. After School Clubs Our reputation for quality and reliability has been established through our extensive network of after school clubs. We take full responsibility for the clubs from providing letters for distribution through to ensuring every child has been collected at the end of each session. Become an area manager and run that location using 5 star sports academy brand and ideas, coaching programme and website. You receive help with starting up, marketing tools and kit. You will be free to run programmes in schools, clubs, holiday soccer schools, advanced coaching centres, petite soccer centres etc and only pay back 20% of the profit - you keep the rest. Franchises cost £600 per year to run your own area/ town. You even have the chance to lease postcodes in your area to other coaches for £150 per year. Coaches can take up to 2 post codes within your area from you, and again you keep 90%. Each year the contract is renewed, if you decide not the carry on, all work undertaken is then back under the control of the directors. Run your own holiday soccer school for 5 star sports academy. Find a suitable venue Organise your week Keep and maintain registers Use 5 stars name and website and marketing in schools and extensive database Keep 60% profits from each soccer school 2. Work on an organised 5 star soccer school Earn between £20-50 per day depending on experience and qualifications Work at times set by the directors of the course Work with a designated group of players (age related) Opportunities in all school holidays CASUAL WORK - ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT CENTRES Run your own 5 star sports academy soccer advanced development centre. Keep 60% profits of the centre. We aim to raise from 3 centres to hiring every major secondary school sports centre by summer 2009. Players that attend these centres are invitied only therefore you be coaching quality young players with good attitudes. There will also be matches against professional clubs usually during the week or saturday mornings periodically. CASUAL WORK - PETITE SOCCER Petite soccer has been hugely successful in terms of numbers of players attending and also progression made by children starting to play in a safe, organised environment from the age of 3. 5 Stars programmes allows children aged 3-5 with their first taste of football. If it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert then the first 1000 hours between this age range (if done correctly) will set them in good stead. A poor first 1000 hours like some many receive from junior clubs, means the following 9000 is poor. To run a petite centre you will receive 50% of the total profits made. You will need an agreed venue and be able to get to the level of a 3 year old. We will be setting up new centres all the time therefore you could also gain experience working in this environment on an hourly basis.
